Erika’s practice is concentrated on insurance defence litigation, commercial litigation, personal injury. Before joining Mackoff Mohamed, Erika practiced insurance defence litigation for a number of years, both in private practice at a well-known Toronto firm and in-house for an international insurer. She has advocated for her clients throughout the litigation process, including jury trials, and regular Court appearances.
Erika earned both her Bachelor of Arts degree and her LL.B. from the University of Western Ontario. During law school, Erika attended an international exchange at the University of Otago and interned at the Chambers of Justice in Nairobi, Kenya.
Outside of practicing law, Erika enjoys spending time with her dog, Alistair. She also loves downhill skiing, hiking, cycling and reading.
