Harkamal Rai

Harkamal practices in the areas of insurance defence and general civil litigation.

Prior to joining the firm, Harkamal had a broad range civil litigation practice.  Harkamal has represented clients in both the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia. She also has experience in alternative dispute resolution processes including mediations.

Harkamal was called to the British Columbia Bar in 2013 after graduating from law school at the University of Victoria in 2012.  She holds a Master of Arts in Asia-Pacific Policy and a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of British Columbia.  Prior to studying law she briefly worked with the International Service for Human Rights in Geneva.

Harkamal is past President and Director of the South Asian Bar Association of British Columbia.  In her spare time, Harkamal enjoys travelling and spending time with family and friends.  She is also a self-proclaimed “foodie”.
