Settlement in Toyota Class Action Approved


Mackoff & Company is pleased to announce that the British Columbia Supreme Court has approved the proposed settlement in Steele v. Toyota Canada Inc. This class action alleged that Toyota Canada Inc. and its dealers conspired with each other to prevent consumers from negotiating the price on the sale or lease of a new Toyota Vehicle between June 12, 2002 and June 30, 2004. Toyota and its dealers have denied liability. Up to 40,000 consumers are entitled to claim a $125.00 voucher that can be used to purchase any product or service from authorized Toyota dealers in BC.
